Congratulations to Team JAOS who won their class in the BAJA 1000, held on the Baja California Peninsula in Mexico. The BAJA 1000 is North America’s largest off road race and on November 12th Team JAOS took on the challenge with the LX600-based Lexus LX600 “OFFROAD” TEAM JAOS 2024.
After DNFs the two previous years the team completed the race in 28 hours 47 minutes and won the Stock full class. Amazingly, driver Tomonori Noto competed as an “Ironman” competitor, meaning he drove the entire 869 mile circuit.
KYB Corporation provides technical support to the team and specialist shock absorbers which ran successfully through the extreme endurance event race without any problems and without replacement. The shock absorbers contained SustainaLub, KYB’s revolutionary new hydraulic fluid that is both carbon neutral and recyclable. The new fluid contributes to carbon neutrality by switching from petroleum derived base oil to naturally derived base oil.
